Beware of using Bill Me Later to pay for anything. I purchased a camera accessory from B&H Photo for $35 a couple of months ago - didn't hear anything about the bill until I received a bill just recently that included the $35 plus a $21 late fee!!

In order to contact them, you have to register which means giving them your bank account number and other personal data. The toll free number I called was "not in service." Hmmm.... Strange, huh? I'm reporting the case to the Georgia Attorney General if they persist in billing me the late fee.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I just had the same thing happen. Signed up to buy $35 sweatshirt.

There was no other option than Bill Me Later. I'm not willing to give out my bank account number so they zinged me with a $25 late charge and $2 interest. Called and tried to work it out. They wouldn't accept a check in the mail.

Either bank account # or late fee. Complete scam.

You must not realize that a check has your bank account number printed right on it, then. I have no idea what makes people think that a check in the mail is somehow safer than giving the "bank account number" or "bank info" out.

Your checks are processed electronically anyway. The same company that you are so reluctant to give information to would scan your checks, keep the data in their computer system, and submit it for automated transfers from people's accounts. That's how "check in the mail" is processed by almost everyone other than small businesses.

Accepting checks via mail costs extra money and really is a hassle for everyone involved, never mind the cost to physically transport what amounts to three numbers: amount, routing no. and account no.

LATE FEES ARE CRAZY!!!!!!! $235

I have other banks, Chase and Capitol One that donรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt even come close to such excessive late fees than Bill Me Later.

My account is now current and I play on keeping it that way ongoing, I love Bill Me Later and its ease, but wondering if maybe theyรขโ‚ฌโ„ขd consider an exception. $235, come on!!!!!!! Thatรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs like half a vacation or a car payment or reducing down my Bill me Later bill. I would only suggest Bill me Later if you will never make a late payment, they will swipe yourr fast if you happen to make a mistake, $35 late fees is horrible!!!!!!

I don't think you've really dealt much with banks, then, because banks will most happily slap a late fee and/or a funds not available fee for every failed payment, every time. $235 is not a single fee, it's an accrual of many fees stacked together.

You don't have to enter your account information. All you have to do is click on the "Skip This Step" button and voila no bank info.

I have never had any problems getting through to BML. I always call the number that Sara posted previously.

Perhaps in the future, you will monitor your own account and be aware of your bill amount and due date, rather than rely on someone else to walk you through it.

Did you not read the terms and conditions when you enrolled in Bill Me Later? It's pretty clear, and their site is very easy to use, especially when it comes to billing.
